Recovered from Ste Mer Eglise, France 27 years ago. This M40 Luftwaffe Single Decal Stahlhelm has seen some battle! The top is cracked (see pics). The helmet is believed to be a size 66 shell. There is honest pitting yet the Luftwaffe decal is still very present. This helmet lived many of it's postbwar years in a French barn. The only part of the liner still in place is the aluminum band and three split pins. Displays very well as a battlefield reluctant of the fighting in and around Ste Mer Eglise June 1944.
